I haven't read either of them, but Throne of Glass looks pretty interesting. I'm reading a lot of other books rn and 50% of them are beating Heroes of Olympus. Nothing will ever beat PJO though, for me.

Yeah, TID makes sense if you read it before TMI. It's just you should read TID before COHF or the end won't make as much sense.
