Dining Under the Stars (May 1 – September 25)

Every Wednesday, the Borough closes State Street to vehicular traffic from 5-11pm. This allows Media’s great restaurants and shops to set up outside (right across the trolley tracks!) for the biggest, most fun, alfresco shopping and dining event around. State Street, Media, PA 19063

Upper Darby Greek Festival (May 16-19)

Back by popular demand, this Greek festival features authentic homemade Greek dishes for the whole family to enjoy! Come try a variety of traditional Greek dishes along with fresh Greek pastries and drinks! Linvilla Orchards: Antique Car Show (May 19)

Linvilla Orchards has partnered with The Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania (HCCP) for over three decades to present their annual Spring Meet. More than 250 spectacularly restored and maintained antique, classic, and muscle cars take over one of Linvilla’s big fields. Previous highlights have included a 1913 Ford Model T, a 1938 Ford Woody Wagon, a 1958 Chevy Impala and a 1962 Chevy Corvette. 137 Knowlton Rd, Media, PA 19015

Delaware County Pride Parade/Pride on State (June 1)

A colorful procession of participants, community groups, non-profits, and performers, showcasing a wide range of identities will make their way down Media’s State Street. You can expect to see rainbow flags, costumes, banners, music, performers, and dance, as well as informational materials and advocacy efforts from various LGBTQQIA+ organizations and allies across our region. Following the annual Delaware County Pride Parade, stick around in Media and celebrate into the evening! Delco Day 9 (June 1)

A 12-hour celebration of all things DELCO! This year’s benefactor will be Delco’s HEADstrong Foundation, which provides temporary and long-term housing to cancer patients and their families free of cost. Linvilla Orchards Strawberry Festival (June 1)

Linvilla is a great place to be all year, but one event you should mark on your calendar is the annual Strawberry Festival, which takes place during the peak of the local strawberry season. You can pick your own, but don’t leave without sneaking a peek at Delaware County’s largest strawberry shortcake, made by Linvilla’s own bakery. 137 Knowlton Rd, Media, PA 19015

Haverford Heritage Festival and Car Show (June 2)

Hosted by the Haverford Township Historical Society, the annual Haverford Heritage Festival, brings thousands of people from the whole community together for a fun-filled and relaxed day along Karakung Drive in the historic Powder Mill Valley. Annual Italian American Heritage Festival (June 2)

Havertown Irish Festival (June 8)

Wayne Music Festival (June 8)

Rose Tree Park Summer Music Festival (June 21 – August 20)

Glen Providence Park: Arts in the Park (TBA – June, July, August, September )

The Friends of Glen Providence Park presents a variety of free, family-friendly musical performances throughout the summer months. Enjoy afternoon performances on the lawn in front of the historical concert stage, then walk two blocks into town for dinner and shopping on State Street. Tie Dye Music Festival at Community Arts Center (July 20)

This annual family-friendly event features live music and tie dye on the side lawn at the Arts Center. (Held indoors in the case of rain.) Admission is free and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase an event shirt ($15) to tie dye themselves. You may also bring your own item to tie dye ($5 per item. Maximum of 3 items per person.) Please bring your own blanket or chairs for lawn seating. Attendees may bring food and beverages. The CAC will be selling bottled water. Historic Chadds Ford Days (September 14 & 15)

Join the Chadds Ford Historical Society for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington’s troops at Chads’ Ford. Two timed skirmishes and a firing demo will take place each day. Additionally, reenactors, demonstrators and other historians will be on site. Marcus Hook Pirate Festival (September 21)

Upper Darby International Festival (September 28)

Celebrate Upper Darby’s rich cultural diversity through food, live performances, and activities for the whole family. The festival is presented by Upper Darby in partnership with the Friends of the Tower Theater District.
